Effective Use of Functional Assessment in Early Intervention


Learning Objectives

This 30-hour course incorporates learning methods that include: self-reflection, video and article review, peer conversations, facilitated discussions, and job-embedded activities.

The participant will:

  • develop a deeper understanding of the functional assessment process
  • build confidence in using information gathered during assessment
  • understand how to blend assessment information with evaluation information
  • collaborate more effectively with families to develop measurable IFSP outcomes and strategies
