Fidelity in Practice – Early Intervention (FIP-EI) Certification Training


Event Description

This self-paced online certification course is designed to establish reliability with the use of the FIP-EI observation checklists. The FIP-EI is a set of observation checklists to help supervisors and managers assess practitioner fidelity to evidence-based early intervention practices (natural learning environment practices, coaching, and resource-based practices). The course takes about 12 hours to complete. There is no cost to participate.

This experience is appropriate for supervisors, managers, master/mentor coaches, and leaders who have a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and have the knowledge and skills to assess others’ use of the practices. The following criteria must be met to participate:

  • Current service as Evidence-Based Practice Coach, EI Administrator or Supervisor, or EI Contract Manager with at least one year experience
  • Previous participation in Rush and Shelden two-day EBEI training/follow-up, OR Completion of DS/EISC orientation modules and EI reboots, AND
  • Access to Rush and Shelden Teaming/Coaching Handbooks

Space is limited to 50 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
