Early Intervention: Eligibility Basics - Train the Trainer
Event Description
This train-the trainer (TtT) webinar provides a comprehensive overview of the eligibility determination process from referral to assessment of the child and family. It is designed for EI Contract Managers and EISC supervisors who, upon completion of the training and online knowledge check (through MyLearning), will have the materials available to train all EI service coordinators in their county. Contract managers and participating EISC Supervisors must successfully complete this training and the knowledge check by August 1, 2023.
After completing the TtT webinar, the EI contract manager and/or EI service coordination supervisor must then train all EI service coordinators (and supervisors who did not complete the TtT training) by October 1, 2023. The training PowerPoint and “scenario” materials will be available to attendees who have completed and passed the knowledge check.
DODD EI program consultants will conduct follow up with each county regarding training and implemented eligibility practices in the county during the autumn of 2023.
This training will also be recorded and be available following the live webinar. Contract managers and EISC Supervisors may participate in either version to meet the requirements of Exhibit G of the SFY23 EI service coordination grant agreement. CPDUs will be available. This training is required for all EI contract managers and highly recommended for any EI service coordinator supervisor. EISCs should not attend this training, but rather participate in local training conducted by their EI Contract Manager or EISC Supervisor.
