Training List

Newborn Behavioral Observation - SFY26

Event Description

DCY is partnering with the Brazelton Institute to offer a 2-day Newborn Behavioral Observation virtual training on December 4th, 2025 and December 10th, 2025. The NBO system is a relationship-based tool that offers individualized information to parents about their baby’s communication strategies and overall development, with a view to strengthening the parent-infant relationship.

Participants must attend both days of the training, from 9AM-5PM, to obtain credit for the course. Each participant will be issued a complimentary NBO handbook and kit and will have the option of attending post-training mentoring sessions. CPDUs are offered for Developmental Specialists, Social Workers, Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapists. Seats are limited for this training, and the deadline for registration is November 13, 2025. Please see this flyer for more details. Please reach out to Rhiannon.monks@childrenandyouth.ohio.gov with any questions.
