Infant Assessment in Early Intervention
Event Description
This webinar will address the authentic assessment of infants to identify the infant’s unique developmental strengths and needs. We will discuss typical and atypical infant development in the five developmental domains and provide strategies to help assessors gather information about development from multiple sources, using multiple methods. The webinar will specifically address strategies for assessing infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. The webinar will be facilitated by Robert Gallen, Ph.D. Dr. Gallen is the Master’s Program Coordinator for the Applied Developmental Psychology Program at the University of Pittsburgh. He has served as an early intervention provider since 1998 using the BDI and other instruments to identify children with Kentucky's First Steps and currently Allegheny Pennsylvania's Alliance for Infants and Toddlers. He teaches graduate level courses in Assessment and Family Therapy and supervises advanced field placement work./p>
