Assistant Deputy Director of Early Childhood Initiatives

Diane is the Assistant Deputy Director of Early Childhood Initiatives at the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. One of these initiatives is Ohio Early Intervention (EI), and she leads a team of EI professionals who carry out the Part C lead agency requirements. Diane is involved in numerous cross-agency workgroups devoted to improving policies, services, and supports for young children with disabilities. Diane has worked in the field of EI for over 30 years with experience providing policy leadership, social work, service coordination, and special instruction services on a transdisciplinary team. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from West Virginia University with a focus in EI. She is a licensed social worker, certified developmental specialist, evidence-based practice coach for 1-year developmental specialists, and certified fidelity coach through FIPP.
