Henry Matthews

Regional Program Consultant

Henry joined the Department of Developmental Disabilities in 2019. As an Ohio Early Intervention (EI) regional program consultant, he has provided technical assistance, training, and support to over 36 counties in central and southern Ohio. Henry received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and his Master of Teaching degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Virginia. Henry has published EI guidance documents with the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA) and presented at Division of Early Childhood and DaSy conferences. In addition to his expertise across many facets of EI practice, he holds an Ohio teaching license, is a certified Ohio developmental specialist (DS) and Family Infant and Preschool Program fidelity coach. Prior to working at the Department of Developmental Disabilities, he served as a DS in Norfolk, Virginia.
